Advanced TA Training: Working with Children & Families in supporting their emotional health & wellbeing
Six Week Course: March 12th, 19th, 26th. April 23rd, 30th. May 6th9.30 - 11.30am @ The Holiday Inn, Farnborough
(One session @ Cordwalles)
The purpose is: To enable each school to have two advanced trained TAs to work with children and families in supporting their emotional health and wellbeing. There will be specific training on working with parents in the home to support the
children both in and out of school.
Therefore I wish to offer the following if you have staff you would
like to see developed in this way:
- A six week, 2xhours per week, course commencing 12th March [12/3, 19/3, 26/3, 23/4, 30/4 and 6/5], 9.30 – 11.30am at The Holiday Inn, Farnborough – although one session will be here at Cordwalles to see various resources and have some training from my ELSA, Nikki Ambrose.
- This would be for two TAs from one school to attend together – this stimulates learning together and an opportunity to encourage each other in their own learning during this time – a maximum of six schools involved, i.e. 12 participants.
- During the course participants will undertake their own small research project into an aspect of Emotional Health and well-being that interests them and will present this during the final session to which HTs are invited [and ideally expected to attend]
If you would like to have two TAs from your school take part in this and they can attend the above dates then please let me know this week and I will put a bid together in the hope there would be no cost to the schools for this.
